COMMERCIAL ART
Debbie is a professional commercial artist offering a wide variety of creative services for businesses in the UK and abroad. She graduated in Illustration and Media Design in Edinburgh in 1995. Following that she headed south where she began her freelance career as an illustrative chalkboard artist for pubs and restaurants in and around London.

This was a hugely successful venture which progressed to painting murals and illustration work, each of which have taken her overseas. Examples of previous projects include magazine covers and advertisements, online computer game promotional material, flagship fashion store interior and holiday resort illustrations for brochures.

Her diveristy of styles ranges from contemporary digital illustration through to more traditional styles in watercolour, acrylic, pencil and ink. This provides her the flexibility to tailor the style to the needs of her clients. A list of which is visible on the homepage.

FINE ART
More recently, Debbie has taken a side step from commercial art to create a series of vibrant oil portraits which will be exhibited at The Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells from 24th October to 6th November 2011. This personal project was undertaken to create art purely from the heart and without a commercial endeavour. Painting people, unsurprisingly, became the common theme as she originally flourished in portrait art as a teenager. Details of her exhibition can be found at www.debbiejewartist.com.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography became a passion for Debbie just a few years ago when she received her first SLR camera as a gift. Her favoured subject matter is concentrated on landscape, nature and artistic themes. Whilst photography is currently just a hobby, she has made her photographs available to purchase as prints due to increasing interest.
